The PDEwulf Computer Cluster

PDEwulf is a computer cluster devoted to research and education in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Nevada Reno. This cluster was built by Eric Olson. Computer time and storage is available for other researchers. Please contact me if you would like an account.

PDEwulf was upgraded with 5 new dual processor nodes each with 4GB of main memory over Spring Break 2008.

Current Configuration

• 32 computational nodes:
  • 2 dual processor 866Mhz/1GB Pentium III nodes,
  • 4 dual processor 866Mhz/512MB Pentium III nodes,
  • 9 single processor 2.4Ghz/1GB Pentium 4 nodes,
  • 8 hyperthreading 2.4Ghz/1GB Pentium 4 nodes,
  • 5 dual core 2.8Ghz/2GB Pentium 4 nodes, and
  • 5 dual core 2.8Ghz/4GB Athlon64 X2 nodes.
• 51GB RAM distrubuted memory.
• 520GB RAID disk array with weekly mirrored backup.
• 604GB RAID disk array scratch space.

Status

All processors on all nodes are functioning normally.
